Sundays are boring. Hair and Makeup is fun.
This blog post is showing why exactly I wear hair extensions and to try and justify to a certain boy why I spent £35 on new ones, and £15 on new makeup this weekend :)
Warning: Girlie post ahead, and way, WAY too many pictures of me…I’m sorry, I can’t be held responsible for broken computer screens. And, I apologize for the quality of the pictures. I’ve gone and misplaced my D40 charger, which is pissing me off to no end, for macbook pics with have to suffice for now.
This is what I look like after a rough night’s sleep, no makeup, and not bothering doing anything with my hair:

Ew. First, I curl Henrí.

(If you’re wondering, I have white GHD’s for straighteners, Babyliss curlers, Toni & Guy Protein Protection Mist and Tony & Guy Firm Hold Hairspray)
This takes way longer than it looks, 20 inches of hair to curl. 2 hours later (Yes, 2 freaking hours), it’s done.

Then I curl my own hair (Which is, and I quote, “beyond redemption”), which takes a further 45 minutes.

…put in my hair extensions…

And that’s why I wear hair extensions. I look less…bleh (Technical word).
Makeup (:!
I’ve had a bit of a thing about makeup since I was about 12, especially bright colours (I’m sure those who’ve known me long enough will remember my yellow phase in Year 8. Never. Again.). I’m a huge BarryM fangirl.
I’m no professional, and the way I apply makeup is what works for me. I don’t claim to be a genius, so don’t go mad at me (:
Also, one of the rare times my fringe gets clipped back… D:

What I use:

First, powder. I use Estée Lauder loose powder, it’s really nice and doesn’t attack my face. I tend not to use foundation or anything, I hate how it feels on your face.

Next, eyeliner. I -always- wear one line, black on my waterline, no matter what. I hate my eyes without it. For eyeliner, I either use No. 7 or BarryM black kohl pencil.

Then, eyeshadowwwww. I tend to have fun with my eyeshadow, I don’t think I actually own any subtle colours to be honest. Here, I used BarryM’s cherry dazzle dust. One layer, on my eyelid. I added some Ruby and Millie’s black eyeshadow to the centre of my lid, because without it, it just looked like a 2 year old had attacked my eye with a crayon.

For my mascara, I use Maybelline Great Lash in black. It’s not the best, but it does the job okay. Also, I am living proof that you CAN put mascara on without opening your mouth :P

I also use a No. 7 heated eyelash curler. I always use it after applying mascara, it seems to work better that way.

Finally, lips. Yesterday, I bought a BarryM Touch of Magic lip paint (:
For two reasons:
1. Novelty value. It’s green and goes on pink. Love love love. (:!
2 It’s a really nice pink, and it’s waterproof for 8 hours.

A final spray of hairspray =P And i’m done.

Hopefully now you can see why I bother. (: I don’t usually spend this amount of time getting ready, it usually takes me an hour tops. But, Sundays suck, and makeup is fun.
I dislike how superficial this post is. ): So hugs all round and I promise that my next post will contain considerable less of my face. (:
Also, boobs.
